Having fallen in love with the theme, hearing it playing from a coffee shack next to the mountains in South Korea and having enjoyed the Studio Ghibli Japanese animation, Felix Buxton (Basement Jaxx) here creates a DJ-able deep house version that keeps the original simplicity, sweetness, yearning and melancholy.

Playing it in a club in Seoul he said “Everyone was singing along, it was really beautiful and heart-warming”.

Created by Felix of Basement Jaxx last summer in a deep sweet dreamy state watching the sun rise over Tokyo, like a new dawn for humanity, after having just DJed to a great crowd, feeling happy and connected to the people, at one with the universe. 

Two interpretations of the same theme: 'We Are One Dreamer’ the original pure instrumental and the ‘Sunshine In Tokyo’ version where Felix sings a simple refrain greeting the new day “Sunshine in Tokyo, it’s a new day, it’s time to wake up!” a heart-felt love-letter to Tokyo and message to humanity.

”Calling For The Light” - A Cosmic Classic. A Mesmerising future-classical electronic record made for a film set in space. Chaemini’s pure and ethereal voice soars and calls for “The Light ” in these dark times,  inviting us to “Love the rain, it feeds the trees, so we can live, so we can breathe”.
